Amar brings a contemporary perspective to Lebanese dining, drawing on the country’s culinary heritage while presenting it through a modern hospitality experience. Its identity is expressive and elevated, with the restaurant concept describing a journey “among the clouds” and close to the moon. Across its locations in Jeddah and Riyadh, that sense of occasion extends beyond the menu and into the atmosphere surrounding it.
For HAV, Amar represented two interpretations of the same restaurant concept. The character of the brand remained consistent, but each location had its own environment to work with. The audio systems were developed accordingly, with equipment placement and distribution studied around the spaces themselves.

In Riyadh, the loudspeaker layout draws on several parts of the JBL Professional range. C29AV-1 and Control 31 loudspeakers form part of the installation, alongside Control 16 and PRX908 units. The system also incorporates CSS-BB8-8 and PRX418SD, with Crown XLI3500, XLI 800 and XLS 1502 amplification. A Soundcraft Ui24R sits within the wider audio setup, giving the location a system suited to the operational requirements of the restaurant.

The Jeddah installation took a different form. Here, JBL Control 19CS units are used throughout the system together with C47LP and Control CRV-WH loudspeakers. Crown XTi 1002 and CDI DriveCore 4×300 amplification supports the installation, while DBX processing and control—including the ZonePRO 1260 and ZC8V—forms part of the management of the system.
Those differences are part of the value of approaching restaurant audio as a designed environment. The same brand does not automatically call for the same configuration from one site to another. The proportions of the space, the way guests occupy it and the distribution required across the restaurant all influence how the final system comes together.
At both Amar locations, the intention was for music to remain present and well distributed without competing with the dining experience. The project case study records clear vocal reproduction, natural music playback and consistent coverage throughout the dining areas as key qualities of the completed systems.
This work formed part of HAV’s wider collaboration with Elite Hospitality, covering the design, supply, installation, commissioning and integration of professional audio systems across its restaurant portfolio. Amar shows how that expertise can be carried across a brand while still giving each location an audio system developed around the space in front of it.
